Laylat al-Qadr, also known as Shab-e-Qadr, Night of Decree, Night of Measures, is an Islamic observance that marks the anniversary of the night Mohammad received the first verses of the Koran (Qu'ran).

Lailat al-Qadr is a public holiday. It is a day off for the general population, and schools and most businesses are closed.

In 2024, it falls on a Saturday, and some businesses may choose to follow Saturday opening hours.

Many Muslims devote their time to reading the Koran during this period.
