Eid al-Fitr is a holiday to mark the end of the Islamic month of Ramadan, during which Muslims fast during the hours of daylight.
Laylat al-Qadr, also known as Shab-e-Qadr, Night of Decree, Night of Measures, is an Islamic observance that marks the anniversary of the night Mohammad received the first verses of the Koran (Qu'ran).
Is Leylatoul Qadr a Public Holiday?
Even though Leylatoul Qadr falls on Saturday, 6 April 2024, it is a working day. Most businesses follow regular opening hours in Mali.
Many Muslims devote their time to reading the Koran during this period.
